Label design for start-up winery, Peridot. Mom-and-Pop business named for both the August birthstone, the peridot, and the couple’s love for the outdoors, pair-of-doe. Even if the cute play on words is lost on the average consumer, it lead to a great concept to collage peridot gems into the face of two deer. While the small run of only a few hundred per varietal limited the print-finishing techniques customary to wine labels, I was able to apply Kodex NexPress Dimensional Printing to add depth to the gems — similar to a spot UV coating. The finished product felt and tasted amazing. Cheers!
